Episode 8

I'm in a mood to update! I don't think I'd get this long 'cause its late now... And I just typed episode 7. Oh well. Here's number 8!

"So... How are we going to the emperor fast and safe?" Yamira asked.
"Well first we have to get to one of my shops around here." He said and looked around the place for some reason.

"Uhh... What are you looking for? Don't tell me you forgot where your 'shop' is..." Kiku said, annoyed.
"Oh no. I'm just awfully paranoid." He said and chuckled lightly.

"Anyway, follow me." He said and suddenly ran.
"Woah hold up! Why are you running?!" Rukawa yelled.
"What can't keep up? Just follow me and don't ask any questions!" he said and sped up.

"I don't trust this guy..." Shiawase said.
"Well this is kinda new. Shiawase, you're usually a person who trusts a lot of people for nothing." Yamira said calmly while running.
"Yamira, have you been running the past few days?" Nixme asked silently.

"Ah, you noticed. Yes I have been running. That is one of my weaknesses." She said calmly.
"Nixme you're so weird! You're so timid yet you're really fast at running! I can't even outrun you!" Shiawase said.

"Ah... I used to run a lot when I was younger..." Nixme said silently.
"Really? You never told us that." Yamira said, still calm.
"Oh... I don't like to talk about my past..." Nixme suddenly said.
"Well you should! Sometimes, I just can't understand you!" Shiawase complained.

"...Well I ran a lot when I was younger because..." She said suddenly and paused for a while.
"Because? Don't just stop when you're about to tell us something!" Shiawase yelled and tried to hit Nixme on the head.
"Ah! Don't hit me Shi-chan!" she said while ducking her head. ( LOL Shi-chan? )

"What were you saying Nixme?" Yamira asked again.
"Because... I... eto..." Nixme still can't tell what it is.
"What?!" Shiawase snapped. ( Not snap as in finger-snap. )
"Shiawase stop yelling suddenly!" Yamira yelled suddenly. ( LOL )

"Well you yelled suddenly! And she's making me impatient! She can't say something straight!" she replied.
"Well atleast give her the chance to talk!" Yamira said, sitll yelling.
"I give her a lot of chance to talk! But she just wastes it!" She complained.

Nixme just stayed silent. And Kiku went near her and asked:

"Because what? I'm interested."
"Eto... um... Because..." Nixme certainly can't talk straight.

"Eh!? Who threw a rock at me!?" Kiku suddenly yelled.
"Oh they're still following us." Chris said.

"Who's following us?" Rukawa asked.
"Beats me. Look to your right. Be careful not to trip!" he said in a happy tone.
And they saw three people running and were about to throw a grenade.

"That's a grenade!" Rukawa yelled. Remembering the events that happend yesterday, when he was being chased and being bombed.

Chris suddenly stopped running and yelled: "STOP!!"

Everybody did, almost tripping. As for the three guys who actually obeyed that order. Well let's just say thet go BOOM.

"You are one suprising guy." Rukawa said in astonishment.
"Why thank you. Anyway, now that they're gone. Follow me down here." He said and searched the ground.

"Follow you where?" Yamira asked, still being concious.
"Just come near here." He said, still searching for something.

"Oh here it is!" He said and then punched the ground really hard.
"Why are you punching the ground...?" Kiku asked, thinking that this guy is a wack. He just ignored the question.

After the dust disappeared. It revealed some kind of hidden compartment.

"Ooh goody! I thought I'd break it again!" he said to himself and took the box from the hidden compartment.

"What's in the box?" Shiawase asked, very excited. Apparently, boxes excite her. ( Snake is in the box! )
Chris just ignored the question and suddenly said: "So now that I have this, we can get to the palace fast and easy!"

"I thought we were supposed to get there fast and SAFE." Kiku said with emphasis on 'safe'.
"This friend of mine gave me these things. Never tried it, but he said its safe." He said plainly and opened the box.

"What is that thing? More importantly, was it even tested if its safe?" Yamira asked.
"Its a device that makes you fly." he said and took one.
"But its so small! How can that thing make you fly!?" Shiawase asked.

"Ooh we're gonna fly?!" Rukawa jumped. Everyone but Kiku stared at him.
"Rukawa's dream is to fly by the way." Kiku said to clear the wierd atmosphere.

"Anyway, how can that make you fly?" Kiku asked.
"All you have to do is stick it on your tummy and press the button." Chris said and did what he said. And the small rectangular thing turned to a vest.

"Well that's nice and pretty. But wearing a vest cant make you fly." Kiku said plainly.
"See this button right here? Press it and the jetpack would be activated." He said and did so.

"Huwa! That's awesome!" Shiawase said and took one of those things.
"Its really nice. Its even bulletproof!" He said and grinned.

"Anyway, all of you get one and practice for a little while. So we can get to the palace without any problems." he said.

Ten minutes passed...

"Okay that's enough practicing! Let's go!" He said.
"Aye aye sir!" all of them said in unison.

"This is fun! Hey can I have this?" Rukawa asked.
"Sorry man. I have to give those back after a mission of mine. You can't have it. Though you can buy it." he said.
"Aww crap. I don't have any money." Rukawa said and put on a sad face. He seriously wants to fly, and stay that way.

"We're here!" Chris announced suddenly.
"Woah that fast?" Kiku said, very surprised.
"Told ya! Fast and easy!" he said and grinned once more.
"But I thought it was fast and safe..." Nixme muttered. Everyone just ignored it.

"All of you have to take them off now." he said.
"Uhh... How do you take it off?" Yamira asked and everyone nodded.
"Hit your tummy very hard" he said and demonstrated.

"Anyway, nice meeting all of ya! Hope we'll meet again!" He said and flew off.

"Nixme!" a cheerful girl said and waved.
"Ah Lady... We're here..." Nixme stated the obvious.
"Haha I know. Well all of you came earlier than expected. So where's the guy who guided you here?" the girl named Lady asked.

"Oh... He... He flew off." Nixme said.
"Ookay... Anyway, the emperor is waiting." Lady said and guided them.

"Wait a minute. Who are you?" Lady asked pointing at Kiku.
"Koujiroh Kiku." She said plainly.
"I see. Well call me Lady." she said and smiled.

"Hoy aren't you nice to the prince." Rukawa suddenly said.
"Oh sorry. Call me Lady Rukawa-san." she said cheerfully.
"That's Prince Rukawa." he said with emphasis on 'prince'. Then he put on a smug face. Lady just laughed.

"He's here your majesty!" Lady said loud and clear.
"Aah! Lady go get the food ready." the emperor said.
"Hai hai!" She said with a salute. She then left the room.

"Rukawa! How was your trip here?" he asked.
"It was awesome! I enjoyed flying a lot!" Rukawa said with a big grin.
"Oh thats nice thats nice." he said and was about to say something but he was interrupted.

"Why are you looking for me? And more importantly, why do you even know my name?" Rukawa suddenly said with a very serious tone and face.

"I know your name because of your father. We were great friends." he answered immidiately.

"I see. So why are you looking for me." Rukawa asked again, still dead serious.

"I am getting old, and I am the most targeted person around here. I'm not sure if I can handle them on my own." He replied with an equally serious voice.

"If you're so targeted, why is our clan went down first?" he said and twitched at the thought.
"Rukawa. I need you to be the new emperor." the emperor said suddenly.
"What?" Rukawa can't believe his ears.
"I was looking for you for a very long time now. And I cannot accept 'no' for an answer." he said.

"I'm just the prince. There's still a leader in the clan." He said silently.
"But the leader of the clan is either missing or dead. You are alive and well. I am very glad I found you at last." he said still having that serious face on. If you can get suffocated by a serious face, then Rukawa might be dead by now.

"You are the prince of the clan, I know about your abilities. I trust you. I was thinking to give the title to your sister if you don't accept. But I do not trust her and she is still too inexperienced." He said still being serious.

"I'll think about it." he said and sighed. 'Am I ready for such a huge responsibility?' he asked himself.
"Please do think about it very well." he said and turn that serious face to a smile.

"The food is ready!" Lady said.
"Hey that looks mighty tasty!" Rukawa yelled and took a bite.

"Hey! It is! Infact, its more tasty than the meal I had yesterday!" he said with a grin.
"What was that suppose to mean?" Yamira glared at him.
"I said it was tastier, I didn't say yours was bad." He said in a low voice and continued eating.

While everyone is eating, Nixme wanted to go the the bathroom but she forgot where it was. She wanted to ask Lady, but she looks so busy. So she decided to find it herself. Everyone was all busy eating so they didn't notice her leave the room.

"Eto... I think its in here..." She said and opened the door.
"Eh... Its pretty dark..." She muttered.

Then she saw someone running.

That person was running towards her direction.

She panicked and didn't know what to do.

Then the person bumped into her.

"Ah! Uh... Sorry..." He said and tried to catch his breath.
Nixme just stared at the guy. She was still lying down on the ground.

"Oh Yagima-san! There you are! Where were you!" Lady said.
"Ah Lady. I had to train some new comers. And do a simulation and..." he said still catching his breath.
"Oh whatever! Just go out there! The emperor is waiting for you!" Lady said and grabbed his arm then pushed him to the door.
"Uh yeah. Thanks Lady." He said and finally stood straight and breath normally.
"You nerd. Why are you thanking me?" she said and laughed.

"Ora! Nixme what are you doing here! And why are you down there?" she asked and laughed lightly. Nixme just stayed silent, and was staring at the door, blushing. ( LOL )

"Ohohoho!" Lady laughed at the timid girl even more. ( LOL J00 laugh like santa! )

Aww I didn't say much XDD LOL that's cool... but at night I want Yamira to talk a bit more than usual. She's calmer then.

In the morning, Yamira is EXTREMELY cranky until she gets some food into her system. XDD LIKE, everybody goes boom
